Unfortunately, Royal Mail still does not provide a comprehensive list of all it’s franked mail post box locations around the UK. However, there are a few tricks to finding the nearest place you can send franked mail even without an official list.
Use Your Nearest Postbox
While you can’t place regular stamped mail in ‘Franked Mail Only’ post boxes, you can post franked mail using regular post boxes provided you meet the following criteria:
- 30 items or less.
- Use the proper franking outer envelope supplied by your franking manufacturer or independent provider.
- Post items no more than once per day.
There are a few ways to find your nearest post box location. You can use Local Postbox, Dracos.co.uk or consult this mammoth A-Z List of Postboxes.
Use the Post Office®
The Post Office® has over 11,500 branches in and around the UK, so chances are there’s one near you. At each location you can post franked mail. Find your nearest branch using the map below or their branch finder tool.
